These Nankatas are something I make pretty often. Easy to make and yummy to taste. I prefer to have them plain but for a change coloured them pink and green this time around.
Recipe :
4 cups flour
2 cups powdered sugar
3 cups (roughly) ghee or margarine
(For very white ones use margarine – for cream ones use ghee)
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Sift flour and baking powder. Add powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Then add ghee/margarine in small quantities till all is incorporated. Knead all together ensuring that no lumps remain till a big ball of dough is formed. Make small rounds and place on greased baking trays. Bake in preheated oven at moderate temperature for 15-20 minutes. When out from oven, remove immediately from baking tray and transfer to another flat tray/sheet. Cool completely before storing in air-tight container.
